Cruise Highlights

Helena, Arkansas

On Day 3 of the Memphis to New Orleans cruise, you stop by the picturesque town of Helena, Arkansas. Here you’ll find a true taste of Southern hospitality in places like the Pillow-Thompson House. This features authentic decorations and furniture from the 1800s.

Vicksburg, Mississippi

Another highlight of this cruise is a visit to Vicksburg – an important site in the history of the Civil War. You can take an American Select Premium Shore Experience directly to the front lines at Vicksburg National Military Park. Vicksburg is also a thriving hub of culture that offers several museums with themes for anyone in your family. They range from interactive displays of the area’s natural habitat to a Coca-Cola-themed museum.

Natchez, Mississippi

Natchez is an important location along the Mississippi. It ,is the oldest city along the grand river, established in 1716. With such a rich history in the area, there are many attractions available for shore excursions. We highly recommend our American Select Premium Excursion to Frogmore Plantation, an 1800-acre cotton plantation that is still producing the crop today. You can take a guided tour of the area to learn about  traditional Southern plantation life. The site features a steam-powered cotton gin – an amazing feat of engineering for its time.
